Astrodome visit Thursday 20th November 2008

As part of our sky and space topic, we had a visit from Astrodome, an indoor planetarium.
Peter took us on an adventure into space. We explored night and day, planets, constellations and the first man on the moon.
It was beautiful and really felt like we were in a rocket exploring space. Sometimes the stars moved really fast and became all blurry to show us what they would look like if we were driving a space rocket!
Have you ever seen the film of the man on the moon? You can watch it here. Click on the link below:

Can you do it... We can!

Here is our movie, based on the book, "From head to toe" by Eric Carle.

We have been learning how to use a video recorder and the different stages of making a film. We all took it in turns to star in the film, record and direct on set!

We hope you like it!

Autumn term 2- Sky and Space

This half term our topic is Sky and Space.

We shared the story Whatever Next by Jill Murphy and wrote lists of what we would take to the moon.

The top priority on everyone's list was a snack!

Joshua Gilbart- Smith Honor Langhorne

Oscar Rowland- a closer look at his writing.

Lola wrote her brother on her list so she doesn't forget to take him!

What would you take to the moon?

Maybe you could write a list and send it to us, using the comment tool below?
